Bostik is a company with a long and rich history. It was founded as the Boston Blacking Co. in Chelsea Massachusetts in 1889. It has its origins in the shoe industry and shoe adhesives. It was taken over by USM (United Shoe Machinery) in 1929 and was developed on a global scale, focusing on the shoe industry until the 1950's when the company embarked on international expansion and diversification.

In 1990, Bostik was purchased by TOTAL, the French petroleum oil company, which carried on growing Bostik by merging it with its own adhesives affiliates, and through a steady acquisition policy which gradually brought Bostik among the leading players.

Today Bostik is a leading company on the worldwide adhesives and sealant market. Bostik success is attributed to its capacity to bridge the gap between industry and domestic application of adhesives has also been a strength, enabling Bostik to quickly and effectively transfer innovations between these two worlds.

Products

ASA Superglue
Highly flexible, premium quality, anti-slump, fast setting white cement based adhesive developed to bond most types of tiles. Suitable for both internal and external applications.

ASA Fixall
High quality cement based adhesive suitable for most types of wall and floor tiles including monocottura, slate, terracotta, quarry and natural stone tiles. Fixall is suitable for thin and thick bed application onto rigid substrates, including concrete, cement render, brickwork and blockwork.

ASA Excelflex Trade
Flexible rubber modified adhesive for wall and floor applications. Excelflex Trade is recommended for all internal and covered external application including bathrooms, toilets, laundries, kitchens, covered decks and verandahs.

ASA Conflex
High strength, fast setting, flexible, rubber modified cement based adhesive used for wall and floor applications. Conflex is recommended for all internal and external application including bathrooms, toilets, laundries, kitchens, decks, verandahs and existing tiles.

ASA Mastik
Premixed smooth white, anti-slump, flexible tile adhesive for internal thin bed wall applications. It is suitable for plasterboard, fibrous cement sheeting, cement render and concrete. Mastik has good initial grab for vertical application.

ASA Coloured Grout. Suitable for tiles joints up to 5mm wide.
